37th in 10K COTS Category, 60th Overall

In 2024, our team successfully launched and recovered our rocket, Sabre I, achieving 37th place in our category and 60th overall in our first entry into the world’s largest intercollegiate rocket competition.

Structures

Lead: Jack Spinnanger
Designed and manufactured the rocket’s structural components, including the airframe and fins. Conducted structural analyses and simulations to evaluate the strength and durability of the rocket.

Flight Performance

Lead: Anne Marie Branch
Ensured the rocket’s flight performance, including stability and recovery. Conducted simulations and tests to evaluate the rocket’s flight performance.

Electronics

Lead: Edison Wong
Designed of the rocket’s electronic systems, including avionics, telemetry, and recovery systems. Ensured reliable data collection and transmission during flight.
