Competition

Our competition team has competed in numerous intercollegiate competitions, including IREC, Spaceport America Cup, and Battle of the Rockets.

IREC 2025

In 2025, the team competed in the newly renamed IREC competition. Our rocket, Sabre II successfully flew to 10,019 ft, only 1.4% off our predictions, allowing the team to win 1st place in our category and 2nd overall in our second entry into the world’s largest intercollegiate rocketry competition.

Spaceport America Cup 2024

In 2024, our team successfully launched and recovered our rocket, Sabre I, achieving 37th place in our category and 60th overall in our first entry into the world’s largest intercollegiate rocket competition.

Battle of the Rockets 2023

After a hiatus in competitions, we returned to compete in the Deployable Payload category of the Battle of the Rockets competition. Our team secured an impressive first place in the event.
